The guide to the world’s leading financial and corporate law firms, the IFLR 1000, in its 2022 release, recognised MJM for its industry specialization and high quality attorneys with a Tier 2 ranking and recognition of individual attorneys.
IFLR1000 ranked MJM’s Corporate and Finance team as Tier 2 and highlighted the work of Director Jeremy Leese and Counsel Brian Holdipp of such team as Highly Regarded.
Jeremy Leese, Director and Head of the Corporate & Finance Team said: “At MJM we are all committed to delivering excellence in the provision of legal advice, so international recognition such as this from very well-respected agencies shows that we are delivering on our mission. I am most pleased for those who have deservedly been recognised and I am sure more will be similarly recognised in years to come.”
IFLR1000 reported that “The firm is known for its expertise in shipping finance. It acts for lenders and borrowers on a range of ship financing transactions. It also advises on a range of corporate matters including foreign investments in Bermuda and infrastructure projects.
For over 30 years, IFLR1000 has been conducting research in over 120 jurisdictions and is the guide to the world’s leading financial and corporate law firms and lawyers worldwide. The IFLR1000 assess the reviews of law firm performance, including practice area, sector and geographical strengths, client and peer feedback and examples of transactional work, the results of which can be viewed online.
The rankings produced for each jurisdiction are defined by the size and maturity of the market and are based on a series of criteria which include transactional evidence, peer and client feedback. Submissions from law firms and interviews with leading private practice lawyers, and a team of researchers who have unrivaled experience in the legal market are all a part of the process. In addition to firm rankings, the IFLR1000 also recognise the work of individual professionals using the same criteria.
Throughout the years, MJM has been consistently recognized by the IFLR1000 as a leading firm in Bermuda. Without our clients’ continuous support these results could not have been achieved. It’s a privilege to be recognized by our clients and peers in an area where we are moving from strength to strength.
