On 3 December 2018, the Department of Planning released the Draft Bermuda Plan 2018 (the “Draft Plan”), which became operational on the same date. The Draft Plan details the land use zonings and policies, which the Department of Planning uses to review and assess planning applications. While being operational, the Draft Plan is still in draft form and a consultation period also commenced on 3December 2018 and will run until 15 March 2019, giving the public the opportunity to make any representations or submit any objections regarding the Draft Plan during that time. There is a process outlined by the Department for the submission of any representation or objection contained on their website. We are reviewing the Draft Plan and are available to advise and assist with the submission of any objections or representations.
